Day Seven: Something I Wore Today

Bryan: "Are those drumsticks? Like the kind you eat off a fried chicken?!"
Me: "No! They're cute little sparrows!"
[Silence]
Me: "Ok...they do look like drumsticks... maybe that's why it was only three bucks..."

Day Five: A Smile

Day Four: Bedside

Day Three: Neighborhood

Yup, we live in a town that celebrates Pig Day. I believe it's the only place where you can look at cute little piglets then buy a slab of bacon all in celebration of all things swine. The whole neighborhood comes out of the woodworks for it.

Day Two: Fruit

Had we not cut these blossoms, they would have been peaches in a couple of months., but like all things a little bit of pruning is good. I always love how pruning season and the season of lent coincide. [I also love how being married to a farmer has made me realize this.] Lent is all about pruning things that are sucking the life out of us, so that we may be filled with God and love and joy.

In a month or two the peaches on this tree will be better than they would have been had we not pruned. Bryan and I are hoping for the same thing for ourselves in this season.

Olive Juice [I love you]

Sometimes Bryan gets the chance to work on other farms for a day or two. A couple of weeks ago, we spent the day pruning on an olive orchard in Sunol. It sits on top of a hill in the middle of the regional park. Isn't it beautiful? It makes us excited for the day we have our own land. Hope it's as beautiful as this place is. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket
