A little oasis
Have you ever heard of Homeaway.com? Because it's Bomb.com! A bunch of us rented this little beach cottage for a weekend and it was so adorable as well as affordable. Renting here was cheaper than renting a hotel and it was only 3 blocks from the beach! Anyways, I took quite a few pictures and hopefully, I'll have some time to put them all up.

Have a great weekend!
Bryan and I are off to the beach for the weekend for a long anticipated time with friends! What are you doing this lovely weekend?

Lunch Date
Bryan always finds the best little shindigs. I don't know how he does it. Most of them are in the middle of nowhere and have no indoor seating. This place, in particular, makes a real good banana shake. It's in Dixon near where Bryan works and will probably be our new favorite lunch spot. You can take your shakes on the go and walk around all the beautiful old victorian homes.
Ah-mur-i-ca
Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays partially because it's one of the few holidays in summer. Bryan and I had people over [maybe too many people for a one bedroom apartment with a weak AC] for a dessert potluck. Then we went to the park across the street where the city had a firework show and bands playing. Beside the ridiculous heat, we had a lot of fun and I think we all look pretty good for being so sweaty!
Bryan and I made this cake where when you cut into it, it's an American flag. Pretty cool, right? Well, I wish we could take credit for it, but it was stolen from this tasty website. I think we'll be making one every year now because it was such a big hit.
Our Weekend Bike Ride via Instagram
Right now, Bryan is in between seasons. Cherries just finished and apples are starting to grow. So lately, we have been going to the fruit stands for our fruit. On Sunday, we rode 10 miles on our tandem to the Yolo Fruit Stand after church and piled our backpacks full of fruits and veggies. But as we were on our way back our tire blew out. Thank God for our friend Nate who has a sweet van that can fit a tandem because a 10 mile walk in that heat would have been awful! Thanks Nate!
