Dear Arend + Tarah,
You both abound in laughter and joy. This may sound weird, but I really hope we're friends when we're 80 because all I kept telling Bryan was, "those two are going to be that cute old couple that you see in the diner still laughing their hearts out and enjoying one another." It's evident to see that you bring each other so much joy and I feel so lucky to be shooting your wedding in August!
love,
Sam

Date Night
In our first couple years of knowing each other, we would adventure down roads we've never been: singing, laughing, and talking. Love when date nights feel like our early years.
**Some of you have been asking where to get the Mandolin. I helped design it with the wonderful Paul Celentano, who make magical instruments. The dove sound hole comes from my tattoo and it was given to Bryan on our wedding day. Paul has some serious talent and he is so delightful to work with. Check him out here. The Dove Mandolin on his page is actually the one we own now =)

Happy Friday!
This weekend Bryan and I are taking a driving date. It's been awhile since we've jumped in the truck for a ride in the countryside and watch the sun set while sitting on the hood of the truck.
The rest of the weekend is filled with food and friends, which just makes for a delightful weekend ahead. What are you up to?

Light Painting
How romantic are these two?
I'm finding more and more that I love night photography. There's so much you can do with it and I love incorporating it into the style of photography I do. There will definitely be more playing around with light painting to come. Till then bask in how sweet these two are.

Carnival
Our first date was at a carnival. It was the first place we held hands and the first place that we were more than just friends. That day he convinced me to ride the Zipper eleven times. I didn't tell him that any sort of ride or roller coaster terrified me. [I hadn't been on one since I was nine and my family convinced me that Tower of Terror was a "nice" ride] Turns out I really enjoyed it. Since those eleven gut wrenching Zipper rides, I have a true love for roller coasters and carnival rides.
San Fran
Last week Bryan had a day off from work, so we headed into the city with our tandem bike.
We visited our favorite restaurant, the cable car museum, found an elevator that gave us a pretty view, looked at all the street carts, and napped in Crissy Fields. It was a great start to our week.
