Mt. Diablo

For my sister's birthday, we went camping at Mt. Diablo,
which is a mountain we've grown up by.
It was my nephew's first time camping,
so it was lots of fun and lots of work.
He now knows how to walk, which is cute,
but also a little terrifying when camping =)
We also played a little bit of Rummikub--a Pellissier favorite.

Something to look forward to

<span class=
This weekend we felt so blessed to be a part of Henri and Dianne's 60th wedding anniversary. It was amazing to watch all seven of their children tell beautiful stories all weekend rich with laughter and love and know that it was their marriage that laid the foundation for it all. Bryan at one point asked if they had advice for all the newly weds in the family and his grandpa said [paraphrased because I have an awful memory], "It's hard work. Every evening we said grace and after grace we kissed each other. Make sure you kiss each other, even if you are gritting your teeth and don't want to. And it doesn't hurt to say you're sorry a lot." Later he added, "and it doesn't hurt to say I love you a lot."

Mama's Day Weekend

This year we spent Mother's day with Bryan's mama. I feel so blessed to have her in my life. Without her I would not have my amazing husband. She is one of the strongest women I know. Right now she is working her tail off in nursing school and is so good at what she does. I see so much of her in Bryan and I am so thankful for the wonderful mama she was and is to him.
